Standings Chart draws how standings races actually unfold: every season of MLB, the NFL, the NBA, the WNBA, the NHL, MLS, the Premier League, and the EFL Championship, charted day by day on one scale, so a 1904 pennant race and this year's wild card chase can be read the same way. Active seasons update nightly after the last game goes final. There are no ads and no accounts, and nothing here is sold.
This is a one-person fan project, built and maintained by Ken. It is not affiliated with MLB, the NHL, the NBA, the WNBA, the NFL, MLS, the Premier League, the EFL, or any of their teams and clubs. Scores and standings are facts of history; team names appear only to identify them.
The charts, the standings tables, and the sentences that describe each race are generated from each league's own data feed, or, where a league publishes none, from a respected open data project; the exact source for every league is on the data notes page. Complete seasons are validated against a league's own published standings wherever it publishes them, and automated checks run on every nightly update before anything is published. The handful of places where history needed repair or judgment are disclosed, one by one, in the data notes. The short seasonal write-ups on the homepage's archive cards are the one hand-written part.
Every known irregularity in the record, from 1927 darkness ties to the only forfeit in WNBA history, is listed in the data notes, so the first place to check is there. The site does not yet have a public inbox; when one exists, it will be listed on this page.
Every race has a stable address that names its league, season, and race,
for example standingschart.com/mlb/1978/al-east/. A suggested

data through the date shown on the page. Each page states the date its
standings run through, and each season's underlying day-by-day numbers are
available as JSON at the address the page's dataset markup declares.
